Free standing Hoarding
Our low impact free standing hoarding is designed to suit your site, posts are secured on a timber or metal frame which is counterweighted with multiple small concrete blocks or tied to existing structure.
Interior hoarding & exterior hoarding options are available.
The framework supports the counterweights so there is low impact on the ground surface. The weight is distributed evenly. This is great on sensitive and valuable surfaces like granite slabs or tiles where heavy kentledge block hoarding would ruin the site.
It is a lower cost method than full kentledge as transport and machinery costs are lower. The system is erected by hand.
Dug in Hoarding
Traditional site hoarding is constructed in a similar way to post and rail fencing but with plywood or OSB sheets on top. It is commonly 2.4m (8ft) high.
Holes are dug in the ground, by hand, with an auger or with a mini digger dependent on ground conditions and length of run.
Posts are secured in the holes with concrete or postcrete and hole tops are backfilled for a smart finish so the grass can grow back. Order now for install in 14 days.
Above Ground Hoarding
Kentledge / Counterbalance hoarding still works with posts and rails only the posts are secured to concrete weights (750 - 1250kg) instead of digging holes in the ground.
This is useful when digging is not appropriate or difficult, for example in an urban environment.
Posts are secured to concrete blocks which act as counterweights.
It is a quicker method and more dynamic than dug hoarding as it can be moved and re-used.
Ballast blocks are delivered on 28T or 25T lorries with or without moffett forklift. The install is fast and safe, no digging means no risk of damage to underground services (ground strikes).
Our concrete blocks are specially designed for hoarding and re-use. There is minimal setup time, they arrive and we bolt the posts on!
Transport costs are high but the system is re-usable so will save money in the long run - we also offer rental for periods of 6 months or less.
If you have a telehandler onsite this further saves on cost.
